Writing a Harvard Essay That Got Me Into Harvard

Writing a Harvard Essay That Got Me Into HarvardMy college essay that got me into Harvard was as different from other college essays as they were from adult novels. Some of it I wrote because I was curious about the literary style, others because I was legitimately confused. No matter what the motivation was, writing essays is a challenge and writing a personal essay is no exception. My professor advised me to write every day for a week on the writing of a personal essay, to ensure that I would be able to work on a topic when I am ready. She also told me to think about what I wanted to say in this essay. In other words, she told me that I should write whatever comes to mind. I know now that writing a personal essay requires more than just one idea, but I didn't think that was possible until this year.Well, it's hard to believe that this year I get the same confidence in writing a Harvard essay that I used to have. With the help of some of my Harvard professors, I began to get into my literary style. The ones who did most of the talking were the ones who have been in academia for a long time, and so they are the ones who know how it is done. The first step in writing a Harvard essay is to discover what is the subject of your academic writing. For me, I decided to write an essay about the events that happened when I was just a kid. This could have been anything; it just needed to interest me.Secondly, when you begin to write a Harvard essay, keep in mind that you have to maintain the tone of your academic writing. It is important to take note of the way you speak in this essay. The professor may not like a certain word that you use, so you have to be conscious of the way you choose to write it.The third step to writing a Harvard essay is to be sure that you are precise in your sentences. You may think that you want to save words and give the impression that you were a great writer when really you are not. When you feel the need to use too many words, do yourself a favor and eliminate it.Another thing that helped me when I was writing a Harvard essay was the advice of my professor. She told me that you should not be afraid to write a whole book on your topic. But remember that it is impossible to write 500 pages of your thesis. My final step in writing a Harvard essay was to turn my personal story into a plot. It doesn't necessarily mean that I have to make up a plot or follow one from beginning to end. But once I knew what I wanted to say, I made a plan on how to tell the story.
